Winners have emerged in the inaugural edition of the Geophase Annual Closed and Club Pro Squash Tournament hosted by the Squash Section of Lagos Country Club.

Jude Odeh, a former Nigerian number one player who is now based in the United States of America won the tournament, while Seun Peters of White Waters Squash Academy was runner up. Yusuf Durosinlorun and Stephen Peters shared the joint third positions. In the closed event, Murphy Yussuf won the veteran category defeating Dr. Tunde Adewoye in a very tough and engaging encounter. Messers Deji Sule and Taiwo Sanni shared the joint third position.
In the men’s category, Jude Odeh also won by defeating Dr. Bunmi Apata while Haniel Hadison and Dayo Tifase shared the joint third position.
The sponsor of the tournament, Dr. Kayode Waliu promised to make the tournament better by the year, while President of the Lagos Country Club, Seyi Adewunmi commended the sponsor and enjoin other members of the Section to also make similar efforts to raise the bar in the game of squash.
The grand finale had in attendance professional players who commended the efforts of the organisers and sponsor.
