Tobi Amusan has set a new African women’s indoor record in 60 meters hurdles event in 7.75 seconds at the 2024 NB Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.
The 26-year-old on February 4, 2024 retired the 7.77 seconds record she set at the Astana Indoor Meet, Kazakhstan in January.
Amusan finished second behind Tia Jones of the USA who won in 7.72 seconds to break the meeting record and also became the event’s world lead for the year.
Devynne Charlton of the Bahamas finished a close third with 7.76 seconds.
