Specxs Care Limited, a company focused on providing basic healthcare needs, and Farmatrix, a startup specializing in mobile/web-based Ag-tech, have been crowned the winners at the grand finale of the 2024 GITEX AFRICA Startup Roadshow in Kaduna state, Nigeria.
The final stage of the three-city pitch competition in Nigeria spotlighted the innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial prowess of young Nigerians drawn from across northern Nigeria.
Specxs care led by Isah Dalhiru was among the three companies declared winners at the technology innovation talent hunt competition organised by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) in 2023.
Farmatrix, led by Nyifarmu Manzo, leverages mobile/web-based Ag-Tech platform to facilitate trade, storage and delivery of high-quality agricultural commodities to desired destinations on time. Farmatrix is a beneficiary of the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
A strategic collaboration between Kaduna State Government and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the event was held inside the courtly Dome Suites and helped to highlight the city’s burgeoning startup ecosystem to the world, building on the success of previous stops in Abuja and Lagos.
The event is being organized in Nigeria for the DWTC by its country representative; Pinnacle Global Business Services Limited, with the support of some local partners that include the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Lagos State, and the Bank of Industry, among others.
