Ruth Usoro in the women’s long jump, has won an automatic ticket to the 2023 World Championship in Budapest, after her World Leap (WL) of 6.87 meters got confirmed as a qualification by Entry standard.
She went past Malaika Mihambo in the toplist, and the German is now currently 2nd this season with 6.83 meters.
The distance was a personal best (PB) for Usoro and also shot her to number one in the top list in the World, while also qualifying her for the 2023 World Championship in Budapest.
Usoro now joins Ese Brume (7.00 meters) as the second Nigerian athlete to qualify for women’s Long Jump.
