Erhire Best has led a Nigerian 1-2 finish in the men’s High Jump at the 2024 Corky/Crofoot Shootout, clearing a height of 2.17 meters.

He edged out Justine Jimoh who cleared the same height for a Personal Best (PB).

Closest to them was Aleksandr Gerasimov, who jumped 2.12 meters.

On the women’s side, Temitope Adeshina placed second with 1.88 meters behind Lamara Distin, winner with 1.91 meters.

Godson Brume has won the men’s 100 meters race event at the 2024 LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, running a time of 10.00 seconds (2.3).

He led a Nigerian 1-2 finish with Kanyinsola Ajayi who ran his best time under any conditions, winning his heat and finishing second overall in 10.06 seconds (2.9) ahead of Myles Thomas who was third in 10.07 seconds.

Alaba Akintola has won the men’s 100 meters race event at the 2024 Outdoor City Music Challenge in Nashville, clocking a time of 10.04 seconds (3.5).

He defeated Brandon Harris who was second in 10.11 seconds and Chris Royster in 10.16 seconds. The women’s race went to Elo Blessing Okpah in 11.32 seconds (2.8).

Stephen Eloji Wins 110mH Race Event At 2024 Outdoor City Music Challenge In Nashville

Stephen Eloji has won the men’s 110mH at the 2024 Outdoor City Music Challenge in Nashville, clocking a time of 13.55 seconds (1.0) to win.

He defeated Daryl Okeke, who was a far second in 13.99 seconds, while Vince Flegeance was third in 14.32 seconds.

Eloji has been the fastest Nigerian man in the event since 2023, and this performance makes him only the third Nigerian man this millennium to run at least 13.5 in back-to-back years!
