Oyo State Pupils Win 60th STAN Primary Schools National Quiz Competition

Oyo State pupils have emerged winners of the 60th Primary Schools national quiz competition organised by Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) held at Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education in Kano.

In the primary school quiz category, sub-divided into oral and written tests, Oyo State representatives, Busura Busari, Fawaz Ibrahim, Toluwani Adeeko and Bayaky Nadia, scored 129 points to emerge, winners, beating Ondo State to the second position with 113 points.

The pupils, from Community Primary School, Ijokodo, Polytechnic Staff Primary School and Rhema Chapel Inernationsl Schools, Ibadan were subsequently rewarded with a trophy and ₦50,000 cash prize.

Representatives of the Oyo state pupils confirmed how they studied hard for the competition to emerge overall winner, among other students.

Commending the pupils, Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Adeniran affirmed the present administration’s commitment and support to development of education in the state, promising that the state would clinch first in all categories in the next competition.
