Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (Abuja) Named Best Improved Airport In Safety By ACI Africa Region [2018]

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Nigeria has been chosen as “the best improved airport in safety” by Airports Council International, (ACI) Africa region.

According to a statement by the General Manager, corporate affairs of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Yakubu Henrietta, the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport emerged the winner of the category, following an extensive evaluation process that considered entries from several other airports in Africa.

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport was recently audited and certified by the Nigerian Civilian Aviation Authority (NCAA) and given a clean bill health by the regulatory authority.

The award will officially be presented to the airport at the next ACI Africa Conference and Annual General Assembly scheduled to hold in Abidjan, Cote d’ivoire from October 14 to 17, 2018.

The ACI is a non-profit organization representing the world’s airports, with regional offices around the world and advances the collective interests of, and acts as the voice of the world’s airports and the communities they serve, and promotes professional excellence in airport management and operations.
