- March 2024: Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Governor of Niger State, Hon. Mohammed Bago Umar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Produce-For-Lagos initiative. The Produce-For-Lagos initiative is a long term strategic partnership between Niger and Lagos State(s), where Niger State will produce food items (Paddy, Tubers, Legumes, Grains etc) and Lagos State will be position itself to be a major organized market (off takers).
