The Nigeria men’s table tennis team have emerged champions at the International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF, African championship in Mauritius.
Aruna Quadri led Nigeria to a 3-1 victory over Egypt in the final of the men’s team event.
Nigeria and Egypt were even after the first two sets but the veteran, Segun Toriola, put Nigeria in front (2-1) after the third set.
Quadri defeated El-Beiali Mohamed 3-1 in the game decider to deservedly secure Team Nigeria the continental crown in the men’s team gold medal match.
