Na My Teacher Make Me Who I Be Today! By Ugochukwu Kosisochukwu Judith
No be say my mama no try for me
Na she carry me for belle for nine months
Come watch my infant head
No be say my papa no try for me
Na him dey cater for my needs
Na him dey bring money for school fees
Both mama and papa put me for school
Where I take sabi my teacher
She carry my matter for her head from first day as she go do for her pikin
Dey check if I dey improve for both skills and mind
As pikin wey dey my age suppose dey do for school
Na she make me sabi say I fit achieve anything
Anything at all wey I put my mind for in this life
She no dey waste time to correct me for times wey I mess up
She go tell me why she dey flog me
She go also show me the correct way I go take do am
Na so I become better pikin
Na my teacher show me plenty values
Values wey go make me better citizen
She make me know say to dodge work no go do me well
Say na hardwork I need to reach any height wey I want
Say na consistency and integrity go keep me for that height
Say na tolerance go help me live well with people
Say ingratitude na badbelle
Na why I talk say my teacher make me who I be today
