Mrs. Felicia Ighoroje Memorial Celebration 2023 is a series of events, organised to recognise, honor and celebrate the life, work and legacy of Mrs. Felicia Ighoroje.
The events, which reflects the life of Mrs. Felicia Ighoroje include a Bible quiz, a story telling competition and a crossword challenge – all of which are available for online participation by anyone (excluding the sponsoring family of the event).
The general Bible quiz is aimed at promoting the knowledge and consciousness of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Bible.
The story writing competition aims with the theme not revealed till the set time, is aimed at promoting/celebrating good life.
The crossword challenge, celebrates the importance of education (in Nigeria).
GUIDELINES: BIBLE QUIZ
Eligibility, format and expectation(s):
- Open to everyone (excluding sponsoring family).
- One (1) quiz submission per person/participant.
- Participation is free – at no cost to the participants.
- Timelines (GMT +1; Nigerian time).
- Area of focus: General
- Quiz is to be taken on a created Topic at the scheduled date and time on Mrs. Felicia Ighoroje Memorial Celebration 2023 of the PositiveNaija Q&A Forum.
- 20 questions to be answered within a 7-minute window.
- Answer questions by only stating the Question Number(s) and correct/preferred Answer alphabet option. For example: 1. B ; 2. A ; 3. C ; etc.
- If you edit your post containing your answers to the quiz, that edited time will be taken/noted as the time in which you took the quiz.
- If the time for the quiz stated is 8:00 pm – 8:07 pm for example, answers from 08:08:00 pm will be nullified.
- To take the quiz, register on the PositiveNaija Q&A Forum with your username being your full names (same as your bank account name – should you win).
- Winners are declared based on the most correct answers in the fastest time.
- Winners are communicated with to provide their account details towards receiving their prize through their email addresses used in registering on the Forum.
- Prize (cash reward): ₦3,000 each to the top ten (10) winners.
- PositiveNaija on behalf of the sponsoring family sends to the winners their reward.
GUIDELINES: story writing COMPETITION
Eligibility, format and expectation(s):
- Open to everyone (excluding sponsoring family).
- One (1) post submission per person/participant.
- Participation is free – at no cost to the participants.
- The language acceptable for the entire story submission is Pidgin.
- Timelines (GMT +1; Nigerian time).
- Topic: (will be made known on November 26, 2023 at 9:00 pm)
- Stories are to be submitted on a created Topic at the scheduled date and time on Mrs. Felicia Ighoroje Memorial Celebration 2023 of the PositiveNaija Q&A Forum.
- Must be original, no plagiarism and not previously published.
- Truth, logical consistency, narrative structure/organisation, creativity/initiative.
- Once a story is submitted, it can be modified, edited, or replaced till the deadline.
- Maximum of 250 words.
- Prize (cash): ₦5,000 each to the top ten (10) winners.
- Prize (publishing): Top ten (10) poems are published on PositiveNaija.
- Deadline: November 26, 2023 (11:59 PM)
- Winners declared in November 2023.
- PositiveNaija on behalf of the sponsoring family sends to the winners their reward.
GUIDELINES: crossword CHALLENGE
Eligibility, format and expectation(s):
- Open to everyone (excluding sponsoring family).
- One (1) puzzle submission per person
- Participation is free – at no cost to the participants
- Challenge will remain open until 26th of November, 2023 (11:59 pm).
- Solving the puzzle means putting the words in the puzzle boxes instead of listing out the words.
- First (or the most) completed correct response/answer to the puzzle emerges as winner.
- If the puzzle is not solved correctly by the deadline, the most correct answer posted/entered will be declared winner accordingly. If there is a possible tie based on the same number of correct answers, then, time will be the deciding factor of which entry/puzzle was submitted first/in an earlier time.
- Once a puzzle is submitted, it can be modified, edited, or replaced till the deadline.
- Prize is 10,000 Naira.
- The winner shall be communicated with by PositiveNaija to provide account details towards receiving the reward.
