Dr. Cosmas Maduka (CON), the President of Coscharis Group emerges the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year 2020.
According to Dr. Cosmas Maduka:
“I never really expected this, I am contesting for this the second time. The first time was four years ago when Wale Tinubu won.
However leaving the stage that day, I had to go back and do more.
This is a very special award. If you understand that EY is an organisation that distinguishes itself for excellence, it puts pressure on you to continue to reform your processes and systems in your organisation.
By the grace of God, I gave it a trial this time again and I won. I have been in this industry for over 40 years.”
On the follow-up competition that is scheduled to hold in Monaco in June [2020], Dr. Cosmas Maduka said that was going to be another level of exposure for him.
He added:
“I am going to meet people around the world. People from other countries of the world are going to come there to compete.
Coscharis story is very compelling. if you listen to it and know where we are coming from, you will be glad about the little things we have been able to do.
I am going to go there with the absolute confidence that I am going to do Africa proud.
We leave it for the judges to choose the best, but I am going to put up a good fight to show them that we are good.”
The first runner-up at the event, the President Chief Executive Officer, Beloxxi Industries Limited, Obi Ezeude, said the award meant that young Nigerians needed such platforms to show that they were good.
“We need it to show that we can match anybody who has been in the industry for years.
You must work hard and be dedicated to your work. To us, there is nothing like obstacle. Our job is to surmount obstacles and impediments within the rules of the game.
Business has no half measures. It is not something you do because of money but something you do to impact humanity. Credibility and the name is priceless.”
