Nigeria Scrabble National Team Win 2019 World English Scrabble Players Association Championship (WESPAC) Title
The Nigeria Scrabble national team has won the 2019 World English Scrabble Players Association Championship (WESPAC) title in Goa, India.
The World English Scrabble Players Association Championship (WESPAC) featured 30 countries and 145 players. Nigeria, represented by 11 players and officials retained the WESPAC Country Trophy after achieving the feat in 2015.
The four-day event also saw two Nigerians in fifth and 10th positions in the over all individual ranking at the championship, just as the other Nigerian players were ranked among the top 30 spot.
Team Nigeria Wins Inaugural Middle East Africa Rugby League
Nigeria’s national rugby league team have won the inaugural Middle East Africa Rugby League by beating Morocco 38 to 16 in the final of the championship played at TBS Cricket Ground, Lagos.
The championship, the first of its kind in Africa, featured four countries, including Ghana, Cameroun, Morocco and host Nigeria.

Olufunmilayo Gabriel And Yemisi Olatunji Win Inaugural Apapa Club Open Squash Championship
Olufunmilayo Gabriel and Yemisi Olatunji have won the maiden edition of the Apapa Club Open Squash Championship, which featured some of the best players from across Nigeria.
The Apapa Club Open Squash Championship, which is a Professional Squash Association (PSA) ranking event, impressed as Gabriel defeated Nigeria’s number one male player, Sodiq Taiwo 3-1, while Yemisi Olatunji defeated her younger sister, Busayo, to win the female category.
Central Bank Of Nigeria Wins 33rd Financial Institutions Football Competition
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has won the 33rd edition of the financial institutions football competition by defeating the Unity Bank team 1-0 in the final.
The match played on the 21st of September 2019 inside the Pa Ngele Oruta stadium was watched by over 2,000 fans.

Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Wins Best Improved National Federation At The 2019 FIBA Congress
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), has won the Best Improved National Federation at the FIBA Congress, which took place in Beijing on the 29th of August 2019.
At the plenary session of FIBA Congress where performing federations were celebrated, the Nigeria Basketball federation was recognised for an improved performance of the senior male and female national teams at continental and global competitions.
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) was recognized as the federation with the Most Improved Women Team between 2017 – 2019 at the plenary session of FIBA Congress and Awards Ceremony.
