Eberechi Eze also won three awards: Players’ Player of the Year, the Supporters’ Player of the Year and the club Player of the Year.

Frank Onyeka Voted FC Midtylland Player Of The Year [2019/2020]

Frank Onyeka has been voted as the player of the year at his Danish club FC Midtylland, which emerged league champions of the Danish Superliga in the 2019/2020 season.

22-year-old Frank Onyeka scored four goals and made two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions for FC Midtylland in the just concluded season.

Benjamin Ebong And Augustina Unamba Win Freestyle UNLOCKED Africa 2020 [Nigeria]

Benjamin Ebong and Augustina Unamba have emerged winners in the male and female categories respectively of the 2020 Nigerian Freestyle Football Championship, which is part of the Freestyle UNLOCKED Africa 2020.

Benjamin Ebong and Augustina Unamba receive 150,000 Naira each.

The second place winners, the 2017 champion, McCarthy Obanor (Men) and the reigning African Women Champion, Evelyn Okafor (Women), each receive 100,000 Naira.

The 3rd Place winners Prince Okereke (Men) and Treasure Nwoye (Women) receive 50,000 Naira each.

In addition, the 4th to 8th finalists in both categories receive 20,000 Naira.

The 2020 Nigerian Freestyle Football Championship, which held online came to an end on July 25, 2020.

Sporting CP won their fifth championship trophy in a row after beating GD Toledos 3-0 in the 2nd leg of the final held at the High-Performance Center of Vila Nova de Gaia, after repeating the same margin in the first leg on Saturday, July 4.

Nneka Ede Acquires Lusitano Ginásio Clube, Futebol, SAD

Nneka Ede has purchased Portuguese clubside Lusitano Ginásio Clube, Futebol, SAD.

Starting in June 2020, Mrs. Nneka Ede has become the new owner of the 108-year-old club, which competes in the Campeonato de Portugal, the third division of Portugal’s football pyramid.

Mrs. Nneka Ede emerges as the first African woman to own a football club in Europe following her acquisition of Lusitano Ginásio Clube, Futebol, SAD  and the second Nigerian to purchase a Portuguese club after businessman Kunle Soname bought Clube Desportivo Feirense in 2015.
