Favour Ofili has won the women’s 100 meters SEC Outdoor Championships 2022 hosted by Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi with a personal best (PB) of 10.93 seconds into a 0.7m/s headwind, a time that solidifies her position on the NCAA all-time list as the 10th fastest performer over the distance.

Favour finished well clear of her biggest rival on the collegiate scene, Abby Steiner who managed 2nd place in 11.02 seconds while Jada Baylark was 3rd in 11.24 seconds.

The win represents for Annette, a Season’s Best (SB) of 73.67 meters to win the Classic. She finished ahead of Lauren Bruce who threw 72.35 meters and Maggie Ewen with 70.38 meters.

Princess Kara Sets New Record Of 56.51 Meters To Win The Women’s Discus Throw At The 2022 NJCAA Championships

Princess Kara has set a new record of 56.51 meters (personal best) to win the women’s Discus Throw at the 2022 NJCAA Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas.

The 21-year-old Nigerian surpassed the record twice whilst finishing ahead of Kimosha Hines with 47.90 meters and Kelsie Murrell-Ross with 46.41 meters.

Princess Kara of Central Arizona registered the two farthest marks in NJCAA history, first in Round 2 at 56.51 meters (185-4) and again in Round 5 at 56.23 meters (184-5). Both were farther than the NJCAA all-time best of 55.84 meters (183-3) set by Ilona Rutges (also of Central Arizona) in 2002.

The 2022 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships meet was held at Gowans Stadium in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Asisat Oshoala Wins 2021/2022 Women’s Spanish Primera Division Pichichi Award

Asisat Oshoala of Barcelona Femeni has won the 2021/2022 Women’s Spanish Primera Division Pichichi Award for the league’s top scorer.

The 27-year-old Super Falcons forward achieved the feat after scoring 20 goals in 19 league appearances and will share the award with Brazilian Geyse Ferreira, who managed 20 goals in 27 appearances for Madrid CFF.

She is the first African to win the award.
