In the final match of the 35th edition of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) All Financial Institutions Football Tournament played on 10 December 2022 at the Pantami stadium in Gombe, FIRS edged Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) 1-0 to emerge champions.

Team Delta State have emerged overall winner of the 21st National Sports Festival with a total of 648 medals at the event held in Asaba, Delta state.
Delta won 320 gold, 200 silver and 128 bronze medals to edge 35 other states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Delta’s neighbours, Bayelsa, came second with 132 gold, 115 silver and 90 bronze medals, followed by another of their neighbours.
Edo, which hosted the festival’s 20th edition, won 78 gold, 94 silver and 167 bronze medals to make it a South-South affair in the top-three ranking.

Destiny Silva and Chizoba Onuoha have emerged winners of the 2022 Rainoil Grandslam Team Tennis Championship in the male and female categories respectively.
Destiny, the defending champion of the Ikoyi Club 1938 Tennis Tournament , defeated his close rival Okika Emelie 6-3, 6-3 to win the male singles title.
Raymond Pam and Hudung Gyang have emerged winners in the 10 km men and women categories of the 2022 Family Fun Race held in Lagos.
They both won ₦250,000 each for their resilience, while their coach Iliya Pam who finished second in the men’s 10 km category, won silver with a ₦150,000 prize. Kangyang Solomon emerged as first runner-up in the women’s category and also won ₦150,000.
