Ezekiel Nathaniel has emerged winner of the men’s 600 yard race event at the 2024 Corky Classic in Texas and broke the NCAA record.

He ran a time of 1:07.44 to win; breaking the record set Roshon Roomes in 2019 and defeating NCAA Champion Sean Burrell in the process.

He won the men’s Shot Put in his opener at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational, going out to 20.63 meters on his first attempt of two registered marks.

He finished ahead of Nick Curtis who threw 20.10 meters and Tyler Sudduth at 18.80 meters for third.

Miracle Thompson has emerged winner of the 60 meters Hurdles event at the 2024 Leonard Hilton Invitational in a time of 8.38 seconds.

She beat Kaitlin Smith who was second in 8.45 seconds, while Dyandra Gray was third in 8.48 seconds.

Eseroghene Awusa also made her debut for UCF, running 8.62 seconds, while her teammate Adaobi Tabugbo managed 8.76 seconds.

Favour Ashe has emerged winner of the 60 meters race event at the 2024 Harvey Glance Tide and Tigers Dual Meet in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Auburn Junior clocked a time of 6.53 seconds to win his first race of the year, over 60 meters.

He defeated Jekovan Rhetta who came in second with 6.66 seconds while Makanaishe Charamba settled for third in 6.72 seconds. Ashe’s 6.53 seconds makes for his fastest opener since he debuted indoors in 2022.

Ruth Usoro has emerged winner of the women’s long jump event at the 2024 Jarvis Scott Open with a personal best leap of 6.87 meters.

This is the biggest jump in the world this year.

It automatically qualifies her for the Paris 2024 Olympic games as it was better than the qualification standard.

Rosemary Chukwuma has won the women’s 60 meters race event at the 2024 Jarvis Scott Open clocking a time of 7.10 seconds.

The event, which is only her second outing of the 2024 season, means her win makes her the fastest by a Nigerian woman this year.

Success Umukoro finished second in a personal best (PB) of 7.15 seconds. Iyana Gray was 3rd in 7.26 seconds.
