Usheoritse Itsekiri has emerged winner of the men’s 60 meters race event at the 2024 Knights of Columbus Games in Saskatoon clocking a time of 6.65 seconds.

He won ahead of Malachi Murray in 6.69 seconds.

He had also competed in the 50 meters race event where he returned 5.71 seconds, the top time in the world this year at that distance.

Tobi Amusan has set an African women’s indoor record in 60-meter hurdles after she clocked 7.77 seconds at the 2024 Astana Indoor Meet, Kazakhstan.

The 26-year-old blitzed across the indoor circuit on February 4, 2024 to retire the 7.82-second record set by Gloria Alozie in Madrid, Spain, in 1999.

Amusan finished first in the event’s final ahead of Nia Ali of the USA and Ireland’s Sarah Lavin, who finished second and third, respectively.

Favour Ofili has emerged winner of the women’s 200 meters race event at the 2024 Razorback Invitational in a time of 22.87 seconds.

This is her first indoor race as a professional athlete and she finished ahead of Lynna Irby-Jackson in 23.32 seconds and Maia McCoy in 23.84 seconds.

Dubem Amene has emerged winner of the men’s 400 meters race event at the 2024 Simmons-Harvey Invitational in Michigan in a time of 46.17 seconds.

He had won his season opener in early January (2024) over 200 meters in 21.18 seconds and this time, he finished ahead of fellow Nigerian, James Onwuka who posted 47.47 seconds.
