2017 NFPAWA Writing Contest Winners

Martin Agbili (an electrical/safety engineer and senior service officer in Anambra State Fire Service) and Jonathan Mairiga have emerged winners in the risk management writing contest put together by the National Fire Prevention Awareness and Advocacy (NFPAWA), a life, fire safety and security risk management organisation, for safety experts.

The novel competition in Nigeria and West Africa is according to NFPAWA, an initiative geared towards developing capacity in security, fire and safety risk management as well as part of programmes line up for the forthcoming risk management conference by the organisation.

An Assistant Professor, Media, Peace and National Security, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Dr. Ada Peter, has been recognised by the U.S. Department of State as SUSI scholar on U.S. National Security and Policy making.

The Study of the United States Institutions (SUSI) on Security and Foreign Policymaking is a globally-recognised prestigious and extremely competitive award from the U.S. Department of State, Washington D.C.  More than 18 countries apply for the award through the U.S. embassies in their respective countries.

2016 Coalition for Good Governance and Leadership Awards

Retired Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Monday Riku Morgan has won the 2016 Good Governance and Leadership Man of the Year Award organised by the Coalition for Good Governance and Leadership in Africa for his contributions towards national Security and good governance in Nigeria and Africa in general.
