The Anambra state debate team has won the President’s Inter-Senior Secondary Schools debate championship 2022 and would be representing Nigeria at the World Schools Debate championship in Vietnam, in 2023.

The President’s Inter-Senior secondary schools debate championship is an annual debate championship organized by the Presidency for all States across Nigeria.

The President’s Inter-Senior Secondary Schools debate championship 2022 took place in Abuja between 14th to 17th of November 2022.

The grand finale held at the main hall of LAPO Institute for Microfinance and Management Studies in Benin City on November 18, 2022.

University Preparatory Secondary School (UPSS) finished with a total of 60 points.

Otong Usongobong Paul has emerged winner of the 2022 UBA Foundation National Essay Competition (NEC) at UBA House, Lagos, on November 14, 2022.

15-year-old Otong Usongobong Paul, a student of the Federal Government Girls College in Ikot-Obio Itong, Akwa-Ibom, beat 11 other finalists to clinch the best prize at the competition, which had over 5,000 entries from students of Senior Secondary Schools in Nigeria.

As winner of the competition, which is in its 12th year, she receives a scholarship worth five million Naira to study at any African university of her choice.

She also received a brand new, state-of-the-art laptop amongst others.

Steve Akpabio has emerged overall winner of the Inoyo Toro Foundation 2022 Best Principal in Akwa Ibom State award at a ceremony on November 4, 2022 in Uyo.

Steve Akpabio, the principal of Christian Secondary Commercial School, Uyo receives a cash prize of ₦500,000 for emerging the best principal in the state.

The award, which is organised annually by a not-for-profit organisation, Inoyo Toro Foundation, is in its 15th edition. It is meant to boost education in the state.

Safiyyah Olajide has emerged winner of the maiden edition of Intellectus online quiz competition organised by Your Study Path (YSP) in partnership with Liberty Pay.

The competition is aimed at developing and equipping Nigerian students with 21st century learning and skills accessibility.

The winner, Miss Safiyyah Olajide, received a cash prize of ₦250,000,​ while the first and second runners-up, Adaolisa Anaemene and Kabirat Jimoh received a cash prize of ₦150,000 and ₦100,000 respectively.
