Kobo360 Named Disrupter Of The Year At 2019 Africa CEO Awards

Kobo360 has been named Disrupter of the Year at the 2019 Africa CEO Forum Awards at the Kigali Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda.

In a statement on Tuesday (26 March), the Africa CEO Forum said the Lagos-based e-logistics startup received the accolade for registering “immediate and significant success” in a sector in which the forum said costs are higher in Africa than anywhere in the world.

Kobo360 was up against fellow nominees Jumia, Africa’s Talking, Baobab+ and Intouch for the award.

Theresa Ojekou Ibas & Osahon Uhuangho have emerged Nigerian winners of the Finance Monthly FinTech Awards 2019.

Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has announced 3,050 entrepreneurs as winners for the 5th cycle of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) committed to empowering African entrepreneurs, announced 3,050 African entrepreneurs, drawn from all 54 African countries, selected to join the 5th cycle of its $100million TEF Entrepreneurship Programme.

The announcement was made at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, following a presentation of the selection process by Accenture Development Partners.

Winners have emerged at the 2018-2019 Startupper of the Year by Total Challenge in Nigeria, held at an official ceremony on February 13 [2019] at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

The three winners of the Startupper of the Year by Total Challenge in Nigeria selected by a jury of local experts are:

Publiseer Wins 2019 Startup World Cup Nigeria Regional Competition

Publiseer has emerged winner of the 2019 Startup World Cup Nigeria Regional Competition, which took place at the Civic Hive in Lagos.

The Startup World Cup is global startup pitch competition, which is held by Silicon Valley based venture capital firm Fenox VC, with a $1 million investment prize. The global startup pitch competition offers entrepreneurship opportunities for early-stage startups around the world.

This year’s Nigerian regional finals had Passion Incubator as its exclusive regional partner. It had a pitch session with 10 early stage startups.
