Dafe Oboro and Belinda Kazeem-Kamiński have emerged winners of the 2022 Access Art X Prize, which held in Lagos on Friday, November 25, 2022.

The Access Art X Prize, an annual award for emerging artists in Nigeria, Africa and the Diaspora, and a leading art prize in Nigeria, was recently awarded to two winners – one from Nigeria and one from Africa/the Diaspora – as part of the 2022/23 edition.

Samson Ejiofor Wins 2022 Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF) Award

Samson Ejiofor has emerged the overall winner of the 2022 Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF) Award for his work, “Cold Mineral Cold Purewater”.

For his work which took two months to complete, he receives ₦500,000 cash prize.

Winners Of 2022 African Fact-checking Awards

Winners have emerged at the 2022 African Fact-checking Awards held on November 10, 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the end of the inaugural Africa Facts Summit 2022.

The Africa Check awards have three categories: Fact-Check of the Year by a Working Journalist; Fact-Check of the Year by a Professional Fact-Checker; and Fact-Check of the Year by a Student Journalist.

The winners of the working journalist and professional fact-checker categories each receive a cash prize of US$3,000. The runners-up received $1,500 each. The winner of the student journalist category was awarded $2,000, and the runner-up $1,000.
