Oluseyi Awojulugbe, a senior reporter with TheCable, has been announced winner of APO Group’s prize to attend the annual meetings of the African Development Bank in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The event, which will hold between June 11 and June 14 [2019], is an annual gathering for leaders from Africa and across the world to discuss the state of the African economy against the background of leading issues and developments in the global system.

Martins Ifijeh, Olasumbo Modupe and Anthonia Obokor have emerged winners of the 2019 Nordica Media Merit Awards for excellence in fertility reporting at a presentation ceremony in Lagos.

For the second year running, THISDAY journalist, Martins Ifijeh, emerged the winner in the print category of the 2019 Nordica Media Merit Award with his entry ‘Heavy Metals and the Pain of Infertility’.

Olasumbo Modupe of Lagos Television emerged the winner in the electronic category while Anthonia Obokor of Business Day Newspapers emerged the winner in the online category.

The winners of each of the categories were given plaques and ₦250,000 cash prize each.

Winners have emerged in the 9th Korea-Nigeria Poetry Feast organised by the Korean Cultural Centre in Nigeria (KCCN) held in Abuja.

The adult category saw a total of 51 entries in which Silas Sharamang emerged winner with the poem ‘Blessings’ and got a cash prize of ₦100,000.

King-David Chisom emerged first runner up with the poem ‘The Needed Reflection for Nigeria at 59’ and got the cash prize of ₦75,000.

The second runner up position was clinched by Roseben Anyanwu with the poem titled ‘The Perfect Ceremony’ with a cash prize of ₦50,000.

Similarly seven other poets won consolation prizes of ₦25,000 each.

Winners have emerged in the 2019 Pitcher Awards and other Creativity Week Competitions presented at the Pitcher Awards Night and Gala in Lagos on 30 March 2019 as part of the Creativity Week, which held from 25 – 30 March 2019.

The Pitcher Awards is organised to celebrate and honour outstanding works from West and Central Africa in various categories including film, print, design, media, PR and digital.

In a letter signed by Anas Talalqa, Human Rights Advisor at Inti Raymi Fund, congratulating Mr. Peter Nkanga:
