Chika Oduah Wins ICFJ Young Reporter for a Sustainable Future Award

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) has named Nigerian-American journalist Chika Oduah as the recipient of its inaugural “Young Reporter for a Sustainable Future Award”.

The award celebrates and encourages reporting from emerging journalists who demonstrate commitment to producing compelling stories that improve people’s daily lives and raise awareness of issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Muhammad Atiku Bugaje Wins Silver At The 2016 International Young Inventors Olympiads (IYIPO) Awards

Muhammad Atiku Bugaje has won a silver award at the 2016 International Young Inventors Olympiads (IYIPO) awards.

A student of the Nigerian Turkish International Colleges (NTIC), Kaduna, Muhammad Atiku Bugaje, emerged winner among students from 35 other countries.

The event, held in Kazakhstan, was organized by the Education and Commission for Science and Technology of Kazakhstan.

Marylove Edwards Emerge 3rd At The 2016 ITF/CAT U-12 Programme

11 years old Marylove Edwards emerge third at the 2016 ITF/CAT 12 & Under Talent Identification Programme in Morocco.

Marylove beat her Kenyan opponent 6-1, 6-1 in the third-place match after losing 7-5, 6-7, 4-6 to her Moroccan opponent in the semi-final.

The tennis competition which held between August 26 to 28 recorded participants of over 80 players from 25 countries.

Marylove who is being managed by creative talent agency, Temple Management Company was sponsored on the trip by Zenith Bank PLC.

She was born on March 18, 2005 and started playing tennis at the tender age of four under the guidance of her father, Eddy Edwards while she was coached by Nigeria junior tennis head coach, Mohammed Ubale.

Before her trip to Morocco, the Ishan, Edo State-born champion won last year’s U-14 CBN Junior Tennis Championship and the NNPC Junior Tennis Masters.

Fathia Ayodele Kareem graduates with 12 out of 15 awards from the School of Medical Sciences in Ghana, The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Fathia Ayodele Kareem, an alumnus of the Wesley Girls High School, shattered the initial record of 8 out of 15.

When she was asked if she expected to get the number of awards, she said:

“Yes and No. Yes because I worked hard by studying and no because I did not expect to receive these number of awards.”
