University Of Ibadan & Covenant University In Inaugural UN SDGs Rankings [2019]

The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Rankings has been released for the first time ever – including University Of Ibadan and Covenant University.

In West Africa only three universities featured amongst the 500 universities and that include University Of Ibadan, Covenant university and University Of Ghana.

The research was conducted, collated and released by a British organization, Times Higher Education, which is a leading consultant in Higher education and audited by PwC a leading auditing firm on behalf of the UN.

According to the rankings, the University Of Auckland, New Zealand emerged as the best university in the world for SDG values.

The SDG sustainable development goals (SDGs) to transform our world: the ranking organization used 11 out of the 17 SDG goals to conclude on its rankings.

Team Nigeria Emerge Victorious At 2019 ITTF World Junior Circuit Ghana Open

Team Nigeria has emerged victorious at the 2019 ITTF World Junior Circuit tagged Ghana Open with the boys’ contingent winning majority of the medals in the singles event.

Azeez Solanke and Taiwo Matti claimed gold in the junior and cadet singles with both players adding the doubles titles in the junior and cadet to emerge as the best team in the competition.

Abuja Almat team has won the Majekodunmi Cup in first attempt at the GTB 2019 Lagos International Polo Tournament.

The GTB 2019 Lagos International Polo Tournament pitched over 34 polo teams and top Nigerian and foreign players with highpoints both on and off the pitch. One such glittering highlight was the final game that decided the winners of the event’s biggest prize and Nigeria’s oldest polo trophy, the Independence Cup.

Adeagbo Simidele Selected As 2019 World Fellow At Yale University

Adeagbo Simidele, the Nigerian Olympian, sports advocate and entrepreneur is among the 16 women and men who have been selected as 2019 World Fellow at Yale University.

Adeagbo Simidele, represented Nigeria in Skeleton racing at the 2018 Winter Olympics, becoming the first person to do so.

This cohort brings the total number of World Fellows since the program’s start in 2002 to 346 Fellows, representing 91 countries. This year marks the 18th cohort of World Fellows.
