Progress Edward, known as Edward Pee, has emerged as a winner at the 2024 Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS) Awards.
Edward was recognised for Outstanding Narration in TV or Film – Best African Voiceover, along with five other nominations, at the event held in Beverly Hills, California.
Known for his meticulous ear for detail and an uncanny ability to breathe life into stories through sound, Edward’s impressive portfolio includes commercials, documentaries, IVRs, podcasts, and more – each project a testament to his technical mastery and artistic ingenuity.
According to SOVAS, Edward’s journey is one of resilience, passion, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. From humble beginnings to international acclaim, he has become a pioneer in the African voice and sound industry, breaking barriers and setting new standards for storytelling through audio.

In his acceptance speech, Progress Edward noted that the acknowledgment showed that Africans are making a mark on the continent.
