Beyond Limits Football Academy has emerged champions of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight Competition beating Nasarawa United 4-3 on penalties at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Enugu State.
In the 30th minute, Beyond Limits Academy went ahead through Farouk Ogundare, while Anas Yusuf equalised for Nasarawa United shorty after as the first half ended 1-1.
In the second half, Ayodele Adesina fired Beyond Limits in front in the 47th minute, However, Moses Peter equalised for Nasarawa United in the 75th minute to make the scores 2-2.
The match was now set to be decided on penalties as the scores remained the same after regulation time.
In the shootout, Beyond Limits FA claimed victory, winning 4-3 to book its place in the first tier of Nigerian club football.
Farouk Ogundare of Beyond Limits was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
After the final matches of the tournament, four clubs booked their places in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). These are Beyond Limits Football Academy, Nasarawa United, Ikorodu City FC and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
