CHICKEN CHANGE

It pays to be humble and loyal at all times irrespective of one’s position and status.

There was a local champion who lived in a village called Ajegule. Due to his acquired riches, he was proud of himself that he did not regard anyone in the village. He was popularly known as “Money Miss Road”.

One day, he was publicly embarrassed as he met his equal, Mr. Smith who challenged him of having “chicken change”  and he was ashamed of himself and never dared to raise his shoulder as he was indeed no match for Mr. Smith.

DIRTY SLAP

By learning to address issues in a polite manner, one can be saved from troubles. “Soft answer turns away anger but a harsh word stirs up anger”.

Jaya and Opobo were having a friction over an issue. Opobo was always known for harsh statements.

Jaya ; Opobo, “how dare you insult my mother?”

Opobo; Jaya, “what can you do to me?”

Jaya; “watch your tongue, Opobo.”

Opobo; “I will not only insult your mother but your father as well”.

Jaya angrily gave Opobo a “dirty slap” that five teeth of his removed and thereafter became polite in addressing issues.

EYE SERVICE

It is good to be yourself at all times. It is dangerous to live in pretense of who you are not.

Mr. Clement was a faithful worker in a bank. Although the bank manager never recognized him as he never rendered eye service. Mr. Oikos, who also worked in the same bank, was unfaithful but pretended to be faithful and loyal.

One day, he was exposed as one of the customers reported to the bank manager of how Mr. Oikos duped her of her money and he was sanctioned for eye service while Mr. Clement was promoted.
