Oluwatobiloba Ayomide Amusan has emerged winner of the FIN Women Award 2021 held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on 23 November, 2021.
The Nigerian sprint hurdler, Oluwatobiloba Ayomide Amusan stated:
“I am indeed elated that I have been found worthy to be awarded the best woman in sports,” Amusan said yesterday after receiving the award, which recognises outstanding female leaders, male champions as well as institutions for their commitment to advance the cause of women empowerment within the public and corporate sectors.
This will always cross my mind, and constantly remind me of how it all started and every effort our team put in to get to where we are now. It gives me so much joy that our efforts are not being overlooked, and that each person in this room is the winners. I want to say thank you all, most importantly (FIN Women). Let this award be a seal of what we can all achieve. Shout out to all women out there doing exploit.”
Oluwatobiloba Ayomide “Tobi” Amusan is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specialises in the 100 metres hurdles and also competes as a sprinter. She Won the 2018 Commonwealth and 2018 African champion in the event. She is also a two-time African Games champion.
