Tobiloba Amusan Wins 2019 ISTAF IAAF 100 Meters Hurdles In Berlin

Tobiloba Amusan has ran 12.51 seconds to win the 100 meters hurdles at the ISTAF IAAF meeting at the Olympia Stadion (Olympic stadium) in Berlin, Germany.

Tobiloba Amusan won the ISTAF Berlin women’s 100m hurdles ahead of Christina Clemons from the USA (12.69 seconds) and Nadine Visser from the Netherland (12.72 seconds) on the 1st of September, 2019.

Tobiloba’s run of 12.51 seconds, is her second-fastest time of all time.

Sunday’s run inside 13 seconds was Amusan’s 13th for the year and the second fastest after setting a new lifetime best of 12.49 seconds at the middle of July at the Meeting Pro Athlé Tour de Sotteville les Rouen in Sotteville, France.

She is now the second African woman to break 12.50 seconds in the event after Alozie who ran 12.44 seconds in 1998.

Tobiloba Amusan will move over to Brussels on the 6th of September 2019 as she attempts to become the first Nigerian to win the IAAF Diamond League title.

Tobiloba Amusan is currently the fourth fastest 100 metres hurdler this year and faces the formidable Jamaican, Danielle Williams, the current world leader with 12.32 seconds and U.S.’s world record holder, Kendra Harisson, who holds a personal season’s best of 12.43 seconds.
