Anuoluwapo Juwon Opeyori has won a record fifth men’s singles title at the 2025 African Badminton Championship held in Douala, Cameroon.
The Team Nigeria captain at the last Olympic Games, defeated Egypt’s Adham Hatem in straight sets, winning the final 2-0 (21-7, 23-21) to successfully retain his title.
He is the reigning champion at all continental levels, winning the African Games title last year in Accra, Ghana.
