Transcorp Hilton Abuja has won the Signum Virtutis or Seal of Excellence awards in the Hotels and Resorts Category of the 2016 Seven Stars Global Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards.
Transcorp Hilton was also nominated for World’s Leading Business Hotel in 2016 World Travel Awards.
The awards was bestowed on Transcorp Hilton at the Award Gala ceremony which took place at the Villa Padierna Palace Hotel in Marbella, Spain on the 15th of October [2016].
An elite panel of luxury lifestyle experts selected nominees and eventual winners of the Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards with voting open to the public.
Transcorp Hilton Abuja is the only Nigerian hotel ever voted to receive this prestigious award.
Transcorp Hotels Plc Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Valentine Ozigbo, receiving the Award on behalf of the Hotel, said:

At the ceremony in which the World’s first international Hospitality Hall of Fame was launched to honour extraordinary careers and achievements of the most exceptional members of the Luxury Hospitality industry, Mr. Ozigbo was honoured as the Seven Stars CEO of the Year for his leadership and transformative works that have raised the hotel as the number one (1) luxury hospitality brand in Nigeria and top business hotel in Africa.

The 5-star hotel recently won the World Travel Awards 2016 in five categories including Africa’s Leading Business Hotel and has also been nominated for the World’s Leading Business Hotel Award at 2016 World Travel Awards Grand Final, which will take place on 2 December 2016 in the Maldives.
Transcorp Hilton Abuja is currently undergoing a $100million renovation project with all 670 rooms and common areas redesigned for refurbishment. Transcorp Hilton Abuja earlier in April won five awards by the voters in the 23rd World Travel Awards for the second year in a row.
The hotel, which is owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc, emerged winner of the prestigious World Travel Awards for Africa’s Leading Business Hotel, Nigeria’s Leading Business Hotel, Nigeria’s Leading Hotel, Nigeria’s Leading MICE Hotel and Nigeria’s Leading Hotel Suite (the Presidential Suite) at the Africa and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2016, which was hosted by Diamonds La Gemma dell’est on the northern tip of Zanzibar, Tanzania.
For 2015, Transcorp Hilton Abuja was recognized as 2015 Hilton Hotels & Resorts Brand Award winner. The hotel was honored with the awards of 2015 Director of Sales, 2015 Sales Team of the Year and 2015 Best Tactical Marketing Campaign for Middle East & Africa (MEA), awarded by Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
