Toni Solarin-Sodara has been awarded the Most Valuable Professional (or MVP) award from Microsoft in the category of Visual Studio and Development Technologies.

The Microsoft’s MVP is a coveted award given to a few selected group of exceptional technology experts across the world on an annual basis. The award is not only based on a technologist’s expertise in their respective category, but also by their contributions to the community through open source activity, and forum posts. Additionally, those chosen for the award have to demonstrate an unwavering passion for their craft, and have an insatiable thirst for technology.

The award comes after Toni worked consistently for  four years with the .NET platform at Andela. Toni is the only MVP in West Africa in his category, and the first in six years.

The Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award means that Toni will be among the other MVPs from all over the world invited by Microsoft to the firm’s headquarters in Redmond, WA, for the Global MVP Summit.
